On 12th and 13th April, the partner organisations of the LARPIC – Live Action Role Play to Increase Youth Active Citizenship project (ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME KA220-SCH No. 2022-1-BG01-KA220-SCH-000085665) met for the first time in Sofia (Bulgaria).
The project name LARPIC, takes its name from LARP i.e. live role-playing games. The aim of the project is to encourage active citizenship and participation of young people through role-playing games. Through this method, young people can realise that by actively participating, they can make a difference. Young people can participate through different means through volunteering, exercising their right/duty to vote, demonstrating.
The main goal of the project is to create the Larp package and its guide, the package consists of a role-playing game consisting of a scenario, characters and instructions for the game. The meeting was hosted by the project coordinator, St. Methodius School together with the Know and Can Association (Bulgaria), and involved the other project partners, Mise Hero experts in gamification (Czech Republic), DANMAR which manages the project platform and communications (Poland). The first day of the meeting was held at the St. Methodius School in Sofia, while on the second day the project partners met at the Know and Can Association premises.
During the meeting, the partners had the opportunity to get to know each other personally, exchange information, plans and strategies for developing the project.
The main topics of discussion included the roles of each partner within the project, mutual needs and expectations. On the second day, the partnership was welcomed to the premises of the other Bulgarian partner Know and Can, and the consortium focused on technical and administrative aspects to ensure efficient project management.
The meeting was also an opportunity to define the first steps for the implementation of the activities of WP2 Live Action Role Play: Citizens.
